Try making a bird feeder out of them. A few years ago I was given this idea by the folks from Intermountain Children’s Home.
Take an old bagel, cover it with honey, and roll it in bird seed (ask Sandy at Birds and Beasley’s for the best in your area) then run a string through the middle of the bagel. When finished hang it from a tree in your yard and watch the birds flock to it.
Croutons
Cube day old bagels (use different flavors for the type of salad you are doing) coat them with melted butter; now spread them out on a baking sheet. Sprinkle garlic seasoning over the top and stir them up to coat all the bagel cubes. Bake at 425 degrees, stirring as needed, until the bagel cubes are golden in color. Let them cool just a little then top your salad with them.
“Wow what a great salad you have made!!!” No doubt will be the comment from your guests, or in my case from my wife.
